Location: My sweet home

Cupcakes and cookies baking session! Been looking forward to this fun but tiring session! It was like a last minute thingie, thats why we ended the baking session around 2am. Before that we actually head down to the old jurong west for baking ingredients but was closed. Next closer ingredients hunting destination would be clementi. Hah! BFF steph & me looked so 'auntie' carrying so many plastic bags in our hands and we took train! We are cost saving people :)


The baking ingredients and recipe books! Not forgetting to mention we had durian feast too! HAHA!

200g of caster sugar


200g of self-raising flour



The 250g unsalted butter and 4 eggs. So fattening!


Looks so gross. LOL. It takes hard work to turn this gross stuff into something light and creamy.


This is what i called light and creamy. Notice the difference? The hard work done was contributed by BFF steph. I was just posing with it =D


The electric mixer comes into the picture. A great helping hand!

Up next, would be the icing for the cupcakes.


The pink icing. I think we failed miserably in this. I suspect is the lack of lemon juice.

While waiting for the cupcakes to be ready, we proceeded with cookies baking.


It was till then to find out that my house was lack of vegetable oil for this mixture. The BFF suggested i bring 4 cupcakes over to my next door neighbour in exchange of vegetable oil. I was like 'HUH, REALLY OR NOT?' No doubt it was embrassing but i do have a friendly next door neighbour. LOL.


The second batch. For the next door neighbour. Does not look good but it taste really good! BFF ting designed this and the one below too.


The third batch. For my colleague who lives a block away from me. Received her sms afterwhich telling me the cupcakes are yummy! Heh.


The fourth batch. + a heart shape cookie!


It's HOT!

I was delighted to see smiles for the cupcakes distributed. That's why i always say cupcakes is HAPPY FOOD! First attempt, not too bad, but still can be better.

Clearing the aftermath can be really tiring. Nonetheless, it was done and over with. Have a happy weekend everyone! Cheers!



Change my blog song to flightless bird. Came to love this song through twilight, flightless bird was the prom night scene song(this scene is just so romantic~). I'am such a sucker for romance.



Miss little cheeky birthday fall on this coming monday and i decided to surprise her with an ice cream cake which also meant as an early birthday celebration for her.


3 flavors: Vanilla, strawberry & chocolate! Yummy!


I didn't know Swensens have such cute design meant for small kids. Lovely.


Advance Happy Birthday cousin Veron! Much doted by me of course! Heh. She does resemble me when i was her age. I didn't really have the time to shop for her pressie this year and she was asking me 'Jie, where's my pressie?' HAHA. Just so cute. I replied 'Noh, your cake is your pressie!' She gave me that disappointed look immediately! Adorable in a way that children don't hide their feelings.

Had dinner with my maternal side of the family and i really enjoyed dinner time together which i hardly get to.

My nicely wrapped up books! Started on the second book 'New Moon' already.


I get attracted to this colorful book(wrapped up as well) while i was waiting to exchange my New Moon book(long story behind). Is there anyone who doesn't love cupcakes? This book teaches how to decorate your cupcakes –choose the colour that suits your taste, your theme, and then charm and delight your friends with these divine little cakes. Sweet. Determine to bake cupcakes myself, might not turn out as lovely as these, but practise does make perfect someday =)

I really had to say WOW, is in the month of June already.

Some happy stuffs in here:

Trip in August COMFIRMED(plane tickets booked way back in January 09) & hotel accomodation(to be confirmed by asiaroom soon!) Yay!

My block leave in August(which leaves me some days for me to rest after my 6 days 5 nights trip!) Happy!

A 3 days 2 nights family chalet in ECP chalet in july! So happen it falls on my weekend offs! I'am gonna decorate the chalet nicely in celebration of my niece 1 year old birthday:) I love family gathering like this where i can see my granny, uncles, aunts and my cute little cousins!! Moments like this, my polariod camera can't be missed out. I felt that it had been long since i last utilised my polariod. All in all, i am looking forward to take a family photo together as one:)

A posb kids charity run on 12 july at Seng Kang east drive. I do not know where this ulu place is but there will be transport provided for staffs. My 3 other colleagues, yan, shan & diaz will be running together! Yay! I need to be awake really early as it takes time to travel from my place to Seng Kang.

Not forgetting to mention my love for twilight. I know i am abit late for this, but i had yet to watch the movie itself. I am finishing the book soon and will catch twilight on dvd after completion. Up next, i will get the 'New Moon' book to read and wait patiently for the movie to be out in 20 Nov! Damn excited la! Will you still remember this movie date by then?
